Abstract |
A mathematical model is presented for describing the time variation of dissolved oxygen in a finite number of sections in a body of water. A systems analysis technique is used, and the DO response equations resulting from the imposition of general input forcing functions are derived. An analytical relationship is developed between the time variation of sewage effluent in one section and the DO response in any other section. This model may be used for the Delaware River Estuary. |
