Abstract | Solvent Naphtha, light aromatic (C8-10) (CAS No. 64742-95-6) was evaluated for subchronic toxicity. The test substance was administered to beagle dogs (4/sex/group) by a gelatin capsule in dose levels of 0, 125, 250, and 500 mg/kg/day, 7 days/week for 90 days. No deaths were noted. Body weights of treated animals were decreased (not statistically significant) at the end of the study as compared to controls. High-dose animals had borderline anemia. No effects were noted on the eyes, clinical chemistry, organ weights, organ/body weights, or gross and microscopy. |
