Abstract |
The principal purpose of the report is to present findings of fact and opinion in relation to the use of the Scioto River (at a point 34 miles from the mouth) as a source of raw water supply for the Atomic Energy Commission's Portsmouth Plant near Piketon, Ohio. Treated water from this source will be used for industrial purposes and its use for domestic purposes is under consideration. At present water for domestic purposes is obtained from wells located near the Scioto River about 29 miles from the mouth. Consequently data and discussion relating to ground water quality are also included. |
