Abstract |
This report documents the basic evaporative emission assumptions and calculations used in EPAs final NONROAD2008a emissions model. The types of evaporative emissions covered in this report include diurnal, tank permeation, hose permeation, hot soak, and running losses. Separate reports address displacement and spillage from refueling (NR-013b) and crankcase emissions (NR-010f). Relative to the December 2005 version of this report, this version has been updated to incorporate the standards in the 2008 final rulemaking affecting small nonroad SI engines and equipment, as well as marine SI engines and vessels. It also describes updates to some of the pre-control emission rates, as well as the new ability of NONROAD2008a to specifically model the effects of ethanol blends on fuel tank and hose permeation losses. |
