Abstract | The report contains a description of the methodology that has been developed for measuring free radicals intermediates. The molecular modulation method developed was designed to detect and follow free radicals in photochemical reactions that are known to occur at light intensities equal to that of sunlight. Reaction intermediates that were studied were ClOO, ClO, HOO, and N2O5. The method developed can measure radicals at concentrations as low as 10 to the 11th power particles/cc. |
