Abstract
In accordance with requirements of the Clean Air Act and EPA Regulations for State Implementation Plans (SIP's), ambient air quality data resulting from air monitoring operations of State, local and Federal networks must be reported each calendar quarter to the Environmental Protection Agency. These data are received by the EPA National Environmental Aerometric Data Bank (NADB). Summaries of NADB data are provided to all interested parties. These data represent all ambient air quality data sampled for pollutants that currently have National Ambient Air Quality Standards. A summary of all data submitted for 1972 is given. These pollutants are as follows: particulate matter; sulfur dioxide; carbon monoxide; nitrogen dioxide; photochemical oxidants and hydrocarbons (nonmethane).
