Abstract |
Protocols describing guidelines for conducting dietary LC50 and reproduction toxicity tests and for assessing the primary versus secondary toxicity of a test substance using carnivorous mammalian wildlife, specifically mink (Mustela vison) or European ferrets (Mustela putorius furo) are presented. These protocols go beyond the procedural steps and include the rationale behind each recommendation. Appropriate statistical procedures for assessing the data are presented for each protocol. |
