Abstract | In Test Group 13, the objective was to evaluate the emission control performance of 1981 Ford cars with open-loop three-way catalyst emission control systems. Tests performed on the 112 cars in the task included the FTP, HFET, and various short tests. Restorative maintenance was performed on selected cars with excessive emissions. Test group 15 consisted of a series of tests (FTP and HFET) on three different cars to evaluate a retrofit device, the Super-Mag Fuel Extender. |
