Abstract | Developmental toxicity was evaluated in groups of 30 female SPF Alderley Park rats receiving whole-body exposure to methyl methacrylate at vapor concentrations of 0, 25, 100, or 1000 ppm, for 5 hours/day on gestation days 6-15, followed by fetal examination on gestation day 20. Maternal weight gain decreased slightly in the high-dose group. The number of early resorptions and the incidence of retarded skeletal ossification increased in the high-dose group, but fetal development was otherwise normal. |
