Abstract |
The report summarizes the result of a study to evaluate two coastal dispersion models using a comprehensive coastal dispersion data base. A sensitivity analysis of the various model input parameters indicates that the height of the Thermal Internal Boundary Layer (TIBL) is the most sensitive variable. Six equations to describe the TIBL height are identified from the scientific literature and compared using two experimental data bases. The report concludes that the Misra Shoreline Fumigation Model using the Weisman equation to characterize the TIBL is the base coastal fumigation model. |
