Abstract |
A new high-speed x-ray diffractometer has been built which can be used for structural studies of water and aqueous solutions. The novel features of this instrument are that a broad spectrum x-ray source is used, and the diffracted beam is scanned electronically over energy, rather than mechanically over scattering angle. State-of-the-art precision is achieved in the diffraction scan in only 1% of the time required for conventional x-ray analysis. (Author) |
