Abstract |
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)--Incident Management Handbook (IMH) is designed to assist EPA personnel in the use of the Incident Command System (ICS) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS) doctrine during incident response operations and planned events. One of the major objectives of the IMH is to assist EPA responders by providing guidance on the integration of EPA assets into the ICS structure while maintaining the standard structure and functions. This IMH is intended as a guidance document for responders and management to understand what their position requires under NIMS ICS and how they integrate with the rest of the response structure. it is a guidance document only and users are encouraged to refer to Incident Action Plans (IAP), tactical and management objectives and attend briefing and meetings as required by their position within the ICS. |
