Abstract | The Assistant Administrator for Air requested the Science Advisory Board to review a draft document which sets an approach for assessing the hazards of Chlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin (CDD) and dibenzofuran (CDF) mixtures relative to the toxicity of the 2,3,7,8-tetrachloro-dibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) isomer. The Subcommittee concluded that the draft document represented a successful interim attempt to articulate a scientific rationale and procedures for developing risk management decisions for mixtures which contain CDDs and CDFs related in structure and activity to TCDD. |
