Abstract | The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has initiated multimedia pollution prevention projects that are growing in number and emphasis throughout the United States not only because of their success in meeting our Nation's environmental goals, but also because of the financial benefits and reduced liabilities associated with these efforts. In conjunction with EPA, the members of the Ecological and Toxicological Association of the Dyestuffs Manufacturing Industry (ETAD) have developed a pollution prevention program to record their past pollution prevention achievements, further reduce waste generation, and continue to realize the benefits of pollution prevention in the dye industry. |
