Abstract | Isophorone when administered in corn oil and by stomach tube at dosage levels of 250 or 500 mg/kg was associated with an increased incidence of renal and preputial tumors in male rats, an increased incidence of liver tumors in male mice, but did not exhibit carcinogenic potential in either female rats or mice. Thus, under the conditions of this bioassay, isophorone appeared to exhibit weak carcinogenic activity. |
