Abstract | P- (1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenol (CAS No. 140-66-9) was evaluated for subchronic oral toxicity. The test substance was administered in the diet of rats (10/sex/group) at concentrations of 30, 300, and 3000 ppm for 90 days. No clinical signs of toxicity or any significant reduction in food consumption was observed. At 3000 ppm, water consumption was decreased in females; and increased brain weight and decreased body weight gain was observed in both sexes. |
