Abstract | This document was prepared for use by affected states or local agencies during the development and implementation of the public information element of their inspection/maintenance programs. The I/M public awareness objectives are to achieve a widespread public understanding that air pollution is a serious problem, that vehicle emissions are major contributors to this problem, and that I/M is an effective way to solve the problem. This guidance recommends an approach to accomplish these objectives. |
