Abstract | Seven phenol and seven benzene compounds were evaluated for dynamic acute toxicity using Rainbow trout. The 100 percent fatal, partial kill, and maximum safe concentrations were determined. Probit analysis of the data estimated the lethal concentration (LC) and effect concentration (EC) at the 10, 50, and 90 percent levels and their 95 percent confidence levels. The compounds tested include the following: Monochlorobenzene, p-Dichlorobenzene, o-Dichlorobenzene, 1,2,4-Trichlorobenzene, and 1,2,4,5-Tetrachlorobenzene. |
