Abstract |
Lake Erie has experienced several decades of accelerated eutrophication and toxic substances contamination. During the latter part of the 1960's, many of these plans were at least partially implemented. The first signs of lake recovery are now being observed through comprehensive monitoring programs. The intent of this report is to summarize the methods, findings and conclusions of the 1978-1979 Lake Erie Intensive Study. The report also contains a set of recommendations to insure continued improvement of the water and biotic quality of Lake Erie. |
