Abstract | This letter is to inform you of the results of 2 recently conducted acute studies, an acute oral toxicity study (LD50) in rats and an eye irritation study in rabbits, with an R&D proprietary mixture containing the above referenced substance. For the oral toxicity study, the test substance was mixed with deionized water and administered to 3 groups of 5 male rats and 3 groups of 5 female rats at doses of 50, 100, or 150 mg/kg. The rats were observed for clinical signs of toxicity on the day of dosing and over a 14-day observation period. All rats that were found dead or sacrificed by design at the end of the observation period were given a gross pathological examination. |
