Abstract |
In order to obtain comparative toxicity data on dimethylfornamide and dimethylacetamide for the Sales Division of the Industrial and Biochemicals Department, the following experiments were conducted on each compound: (1) Subacute oral toxicity tests with six rats each receivink nine doses of 450 ag/kg/day over a two-week period. (2) Subacute skin absorption tests with six rabbits each receiving nine daily doses of 2000 mg/kg over a two-veek period. (3) Subacute inhalation tests in which rats were exposed six hours daily for a maximum of 5 exposures to 2500 ppm of DHP, and 10 exposures to 2100 ppm of DMAC. (4) Acute eye irritation tests with rabbits. |
