Abstract |
The sulfite pulping industry primarily is characterized by the type of base chemical used in conjunction with sulfurous acid to effect delignification of gymnosperm woods. It further is characterized by the level of acidity during the digestion operation and by the extent of recovery of chemicals and waste heat. This report describes the methodology used in obtaining emission factors for AP-42, Compilation of Air Pollutant Emission Factors on acid sulfite pulping. |
