Abstract |
Two sanitary landfill areas in Indiana were instrumented and data were collected. The Monroe County Landfill is located along Anderson Road almost 7.7 miles northeast of Bloomington, Indiana on the north valley slope of Beanblossom Creek. Groundwater is sampled in monitoring wells, and surface water is sampled at selected weir sites. The Columbus Indiana Landfill is located at the base of a terrace scarp in the White River Valley. A series of double-level dikes were constructed to contain the fill. Monitoring wells were installed on the terrace, in the fill proper, and around the margin of the fill. |
