Abstract |
The report describes technical methods of degradation, destruction, detoxification, and disposal of wastes containing chlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans. Included are descriptions of proven methods such as incineration, as well as innovative technologies such as UV photolysis, supercritical oxidation, anda process based on potassium polyethylene glycolate. Data contained in the document describe the effectiveness of some of the technologies to reduce the concentration and/or mobility of dioxins and related compounds from actual field tests. |
