Abstract |
This document was prepared to describe the ozone air quality modeling performed by EPA in support of the proposed rule. Two basic types of modeling were completed. First, source apportionment modeling was conducted with the Comprehensive Air Quality Model with Extensions (CAMx) to gauge the potential impacts of emissions from the entire sector subject to the proposed rule on future levels of ozone. Second, CAMx was used to simulate the effects of the proposed emissions reductions on ozone air quality in the future. The methodology and results of both modeling approaches will be summarized. |
