Abstract |
The 4-hour LC50 for 'biphenyl' is greater than 43.0 ppm based upon inhalation exposures of male and female mice. During exposure, animals showed signs of hyperactivity and mild respiratory discomfort. These signs were not evident at the end of a 14-day recovery period. Gross pathological examination of animals surviving exposure to 14.0 38 and 43.0 ppm for 14 days revealed slight lung congestion in most animals. No other significant changes attributable to the test material were observed. |
