Contents Notes | The purpose of the surveillance project was to identify and follow prospectively a cohort of construction trade workers who had successfully completed the initial hazardous waste worker training course required by OSHA. The surveillance project would conduct baseline health interviews during the initial training course and annual follow-up interviews thereafter. The interview data would be analyzed to detect trends and clusters in the occurrence of occupational illnesses and injuries caused by, or associated with, hazardous waste remediation work to use as a guide to intervention actins for disease and injury prevention. This report presents data obtained from the baseline and first annual follow-up rviews of this cohort. |
