Abstract |
The report pertains to 3-chloropropanenitrile (synonym: 3-chloropropionitrile) (CAS No. 542-76-7) and is being submitted because of lethality with central nervous system (CNS) signs observed in an acute oral toxicity study in rats. The oral LD50 is 10-50 mg/kg in rats. The material is also a slight skin irritant. The dermal LD50 is 0.05-0.1 cc/kg in guinea pigs. The report is being identified as a study involving other than human effects (Unit II.B.2.b of CAP Agreement). |
