Contents Notes | This report targets North-South and South-North freight transportation that occurs between the United States, Mexico, and Canada. It presents the processes and acts necessary to strengthen environmental sustainability in freight transportation among the three nations. The main environmental goal investigated was how to secure ways of reducing carbon dioxide emissions, which are responsible for at least 95% of all freight transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions. The report was developed, in addition, to emphasize the crucial link between environmental sustainability and a competitive, efficient, and secure freight transportation system throughout North America. |
