Abstract | A comparative toxicological assessment of TMTD, cirame, cineb, maneb and polycarbacine proved cirame, TMTD and maneb to be more dangerous. In comparison with maneb and cineb, cirame has a more pronounced cumulative, teratogenic, gonadotoxic, and blastogenic effect and a much higher cytogenic activity. Maneb surpasses the rest of these pesticides in embryotoxic and blastogenic activity. The extent of the mutagenic effect and the toxicity in chronic poisoning of TMTD exceeded that of cirame, cineb and maneb. All the pathological effects produced were least pronounced in the action of cineb and polycarbacine. |
