Abstract | The volume contains the appendices to the report entitled, 'SO2 Free Two-Stage Coal Combustion Process Progress Report' (PB-211 888). This previous report discussed the design of a coal gasification process for electric power plants in which coal is injected into molten iron to produce carbon monoxide fuel gas and a sulfur containing slag. Appendix A is a discussion of the experimental combustor design, construction, and operation. Appendix B details the laboratory work conducted for the study. In Appendix C is presented the Two-Stage Coal Combustion Process simulation and economic evaluation. |
