Abstract |
This paper describes a program designed to evaluate the effects of the Moleculetor Fuel Energizer on exhaust emissions and fuel economy. Three late model passenger cars were subjected to a series of test sequences both before and after installation of the device. Each test sequence included the current Federal Test Procedure (for exhaust emissions only) and the Highway Fuel Economy Test. Test vehicles were selected on the basis of high sales volume and were set to manufacturer's specifications before entering the program. Based on the results of this testing, there is no reason to believe that the Moleculetor conclusively had an effect on the fuel economy and emission levels of the test vehicles. The changes that were shown were quite small and were not inconsistent with trends found by EPA on other fleets of test vehicles which were subjected to mileage accumulation. |
