Abstract | Single oral doses formanide to rats resulted in an LD50 of about 3.2 gm./kg., putting it in our Grade 3, similar to such materials as Cellosolve, and Cellosolve acetate. Skin penetration was not studied but it cannot be any acute hazard. Single inhalation of vapor are no hazard, skin contact does not result in irritation although dermatitis from sensitization is a possibility, and the hazard of eye injury is low. |
