Abstract |
The report discusses a model that can be used to estimate future emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and costs of their control by applying growth factors, emission constraints, control cost functions, and capacity retirement rates to the base line estimates of VOC emissions and industrial VOC source capacity in 1980. A personal computer model has been developed to automate the forecasting procedure. The report provides guidelines for installing and operating the Volatile Organic Compound Model (VOCM) on an IBM-PC or IBM compatible computer. The report describes the creation of data files by a VOCM user and the use of data files supplied with the VOCM for preparing forecasts. |
