Abstract | The treatment of Duluth-Superior Harbor inlets as coupled oscillators yields Helmholtz resonance periods of 2.1-2.3 h. Analysis of water level oscillations in the harbor and currents in an inlet channel shows a 2.1-h mode, which seems to be excited by lake oscillations of nearly the same period.
