Abstract | The development program for the Molten Carbonate Process involves the design, construction and operation of two test systems, a Small Pilot Plant (SSP) and a Component Test Loop (CTL). The Small Pilot Plant will be used to test and evaluate the performance of the integrated process on a continuous basis under realistic plant operating conditions. The Component Test Loop will be used to establish the performance and reliability of equipment components of a size comparable to those of a demonstration unit. The report presents the conceptual designs and cost estimates for designing and constructing the two test systems. (Author) |
