Abstract |
The report presents the results of a pilot test of the measurement techniques of transportation noise, suitable for execution on a national scale. The goal of the program has been the development or validation of measurement techniques (physical or subjective) which could be employed to establish a baseline of the noise exposure for communities and for individuals in their everyday activity and to develop an optimum descriptor for noise applicable to the baseline data and/or utilized subsequently for noise regulations, noise monitoring or noise control.
