Abstract |
The material tested is a copolymer of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide identified as Ucon 50HB-5100. It is manufactured by the Union Carbide Corporation and is used as a component in a textile finish formulation by Du Pont. We have reviewed our operations and conclude that the Ucon 50HB-5100 or formulations containing this material do not pose substantial risk to health or the environment since workplace exposures within Du Pont, based upon monitoring experience, are well below the levels indicated as the approximate lethal concentration in our range-finding test. |
