Abstract | A summary is made of the full report. The Metropolitan Denver Sewage Disposal District No. 1 (Metro) has proposed to construct the necessary facilities to transport sludge to a site in Adams County for air drying in earthen basins, stockpiling in above-ground windrows and distributing to the farming community to be reused on land for growing crops. The types of lands expected to receive sludge from Metro include city parks in the metropolitan area, sod farms, minespoil sites, irrigated farms, nonirrigated farms, and home gardens. |
