Abstract |
This final environmental impact statement on a Delaware County, Ohio, project proposes the construction of a 1.5 MGD tertiary treatment plant adjacent to the Olentangy River immediately above the Delaware-Franklin County line, with discharge adjacent to the site. Interceptor sewers will serve portions of the Olentangy and Alum Creek basins in southern Delaware County. The southern portion of the western Scioto River basin will be permanently served by the proposed Dublin interceptor, with treatment at the Columbus Jackson Pike plant. Ozone will be used for disinfection at the Olentangy Environmental Control Center. Ammonia control is anticipated to be sufficient as designed. There has been no demonstrated public health hazard from sewage treatment plant aerosols. Secondary impacts from the proposed project will require local mitigation. |
