| Abstract |
This study was designed to provide information on the cumulative Environmental Impacts resulting from the implementation of Subtitle C of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. Subtitle C of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976 (RCRA) requires the Office of Solid Waste (OSW) to develop criteria that will identify hazardous wastes and promulgate standards that will regulate generators, transporters, handlers, and disposers of hazardous wastes. The preparation of this EIS was to assist EPA in (a) comparing trade-offs among alternative courses of action, (b) promoting public understanding of Agency decisions, (c) facilitating public participation in the decision making process, and (d) identifying areas where additional information and data was needed. |
