Abstract | The study used interviews of management personnel in 28 companies and of state and Federal water pollution control officials to assess the economic impact of existing water pollution control programs upon Georgia's large water-using industries including pulp and paper manufacturing, textiles, food processing, kaolin mining and processing, and electric power generation. It evaluates industry acceptance of and support for water pollution control programs and proposes methods for improving such acceptance. (Author Modified Abstract) |
