Abstract |
This article discusses how current interest in resource recovery and municipal waste-to-energy production, in particular, requires a research-oriented demonstration facility for devices capable of separating a variety of municipal solid waste streams. This article discusses how these facilities must incorporate both basic and applied research objectives as well as technology transfer. It also discusses how demoresearch facilities are essential to the success of resource recovery. Federal government support in this area is also discussed. |
