Abstract |
Logarithmic probability plots of air quality data, commonly described as 'approximately straignt lines', are shown to have consistent curvature. These curves appear to follow the form of a censored three-parameter lognormal distribution. A procedure for fitting these data is discussed in which a statistical criterion for goodness-of-fit is used to guide the analyst. |
