Abstract |
The report deals with construction and testing of equipment for the study of the behavior of a single bubble in the presence of minute quantities of organic substances. The variables proposed for investigation are the velocity of rise, instantaneous dissolution rate, shape, oscillation and effects of age of the bubble on the mass transfer. One of the main objectives of the design of the equipment was to obtain a continuous record of the behavior of the bubble from the moment of its formation to the end of its journey at the top of the column.
