Abstract | Alliant Techsystems manufactures aluminum and steel components for armaments, under defense contract, at building 502 in Arden Hills, MN. As part of the manufacturing process, six vapor degreasers are used to remove oil and other soils from the components. The focus of this study was to identify the causes of solvent loss from three of the degreasers, and suggest options for reducing those losses. |
