Abstract |
A demonstration of technologies for determining the presence of dioxin and dioxin-like compounds in soil and sediment will be conducted under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation Program in Saginaw, Michigan, at Green Point Environmental Learning Center from April 26 to May 5, 2004. The primary purpose of the demonstration is to evaluate innovative monitoring and measurement technologies. This demonstration plan describes the procedures that will be used to verify the performance and cost of these technologies. The plan incorporates the quality assurance and quality control elements needed to generate data of sufficient quality to document each technology's performance and cost. A separate innovative technology verification report (ITVR) will be prepared for each technology. The ITVRs will present the demonstration findings associated with the demonstration objectives. |

The technologies listed below will be demonstrated. AhRC PCR Kit, Hybrizyme Corporation; Ah-IMMUNOASSAY Kit, Paracelsion, Inc.; Coplaner PCB Immunoassay Kit, Abraxis LLC; DF-1Dioxin/Furan Immunoassay Kit, CAPE Technologies L.L.C.; CALUX by Xenobiotic Detection Systems Inc.; Dioxin ELISA Kit, Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd. |
