Abstract |
Chemosensory event-related potentials hold great promise for furthering the understanding of the olfactory system, the processing of olfactory information, and disease processes affecting olfaction. Collection of this type of data has been difficult and suggestions are presented to aid investigators new to this field. Suggestions for nomenclature, recording parameters, chemosensory stimulation parameters and reporting conventions are discussed. Also discussed are the future directions of this field and the current needs regarding the development of a normative database. (Copyright (c) Oxford University Press 1993.) |
