Abstract |
The use of rodent embryos cultured in vitro for the evaluation of the teratogenicity of compounds is discussed in detail. Time and concentration of exposure are delineated as factors of importance, as well as metabolism and embryonic stage. The economic feasibility of using such systems is estimated. |
