Abstract |
A coulometric instrument for measuring gaseous nitric acid is modified to improve response time characteristics and simplify operation. Possible interferences were investigated and found minimal. Comparison measurements of nitric acid by long path Fourier Transform infrared analysis of smog chamber experiments were in good agreement and serve to confirm the utility of the coulometric method.
